WHY WE C.A.R.E.

During your stay, you will probably come across some of Eleuthera's resident animal population. The dogs you see are known as "Potcakes." The Royal Bahamian Potcake Dog gets its breed name from the scrapings left over in the bottom of pots used to cook rice and beans (known locall as peas and rice), which have traditionally been fed to these dogs by locals in and around the Caribbean.

What Is C.A.R.E.?
